Rest assured in your purchase, as all Granite Lane Rugs come with a product warranty of up to 12 months against manufacturing defects. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to meet acceptable quality standards, provided the failure does not constitute a major issue.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage arising from abnormal use, abuse, or placement in inappropriate locations
  • Products that have not been maintained or have been modified

Product Nature & Durability:

  • Shedding: This is normal and can be reduced by vacuuming the rug at a low power mode at least once a week.
  • Occasional sprouting pulls or loss of single tufts of fiber: This can occur occasionally.
  • Colour and texture changes: Variations may occur due to the use of natural fibers and dyes or prolonged exposure to sunlight, humidity, heat, or certain atmospheric gases.
  • Rolling marks: These can disappear with routine vacuuming.
  • Matting and crushing: These can occur but can be minimized by proper maintenance.
  • Odor: Rugs recently removed from a bag may have an odor, which can dissipate by placing the rug (back side up) in direct sunlight for 24 hours.
  • Size variation: Rug sizes may vary from the advertised size by up to 3% due to the handmade nature of some rugs.
  • Sunlight exposure: Rugs subjected to sunlight will experience fading. Rugs in high traffic areas will deteriorate faster; regular rotation is suggested.
  • Placement: It is not recommended to place rugs on top of installed carpet, as this can create a tripping hazard from being placed on a non-solid base.
  • Material-specific concerns:
    • Viscose, artificial silk, and bamboo silk are prone to 'cellulose browning' if exposed to moisture.
    • Jute, being a handwoven pile, may warp as the weave shifts within the brittle composition of the raw fiber.
  • Damp areas: Rugs should not be placed in damp areas. Even 'outdoor' rugs require periods of dryness and cleaning.

    Supplier Rug Warranty:

    The Rug Collection
The Rug Collection will replace or repair a rug that has a structural defect within 12 months of purchasing, provided the rug was used for normal domestic use and maintained in accordance with our care instructions. The Rug Collection reserves the right to fix any defect before a replacement is deemed appropriate. A replacement of the same rug will be given if that product is still available, otherwise a new product to the same value will be offered. Any improper or negligent use will void this warranty. This warranty does not apply to any rugs that have been damaged by incorrect cleaning, chemical damage, water damage or flooding, fading due to sunlight, inappropriate use of the rug, cutting down or re-sizing, or general wear and tear over a number of years.

A product is not considered defective if there is a manufacturing variation as listed in our manufacturing variations / characteristics of our wool rugs. If you wish to make a claim under this warranty, you must provide photographic evidence to support the claim. We ask that you email us: The invoice number and date of purchase, or receipt and details of where the rug was purchased and a photo of the rug with a close-up image of the defect.

    Tribe Home
Tribe Home’s rugs and homewares are valid under a 12 month warranty if the piece displays an obvious production fault whereby the product is no longer functional. Tribe Home will repair or replace an item if there is defective during the 12 months from the date of dispatch, provided the item has been used for a normal household purpose and maintained in accordance with the care instructions by the consumer, excluding general wear and tear, and has not been altered from its original condition. Due to the nature of the handmade products, natural imperfections and fibre pop-ups are common in the products and not classified as a fault.

Any improper or negligent use or neglect which is detected by the assessor will automatically void this warranty. The warranty applies to household residential use only and not to any commercial, contract, rental, trade, institutional or other non-residential use.

    Weave Home
Weave Home goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
