  •  Why should I buy locally?
When you buy local, you're not just supporting the WA and Australian economy and creating jobs, but you're also playing a part in protecting the environment, enjoying unique products and services that reflect the local community's spirit and traditions, and helping to maintain the special identity and friendly social connections that make Perth feel like home.

  • How is it more Sustainable to buy WA Made furniture?
Granite Lane prioritises supporting local businesses which in turn minimises transportation needs. This choice not only reduces urban sprawl, congestion, habitat loss, and pollution but also fosters a more sustainable and vibrant local community.

  • Buying locally is more expensive though?
While it can sometimes seem that way, buying locally doesn't always mean spending more. The perceived difference in cost can be offset by several factors, including better product quality that lasts longer, accompanied by personalised service from Granite Lane, which includes the option to specify a piece of furniture in your preferred fabric material, size, and configuration. Moreover, when you factor in the social and environmental benefits, buying locally can prove to be a worthwhile investment in the long run.

  • What is the usual lead time for your WA Made furniture?
We are proud to collaborate with two skilled Perth manufacturers for crafting our locally made furniture, and due to this partnership, lead times can vary between the two. Typically, our WA Made furniture requires 6-10 weeks for production. To provide you with a more precise estimate, we'll need to know the specific details of your desired sofa, armchair, bed, or ottoman.

  • Which materials can I choose from for your WA Made Furniture?
You can choose any material from Warwick FabricsWortleyZepel Fabrics, and James Dunlop Textiles. Most of the sample options are on display in our Osborne Park showroom. However, if you are located interstate or unable to visit in person, you can simply visit any of your local fabric suppliers and specify a fabric material that suits your preferences. Once confirmed, we will provide you with a quote for your WA Made furniture.

Please note that the quote will vary depending on the fabric material you select.

  • How do I care for my WA Made Furniture?

Caring for your WA Made Furniture is essential to ensure its longevity and maintain its pristine condition. Here are some general tips to help you keep your furniture in excellent shape:

    1. Regular Cleaning: Dust your furniture regularly with a soft, dry cloth to prevent the buildup of dirt and grime. Use a slightly damp cloth for more thorough cleaning, but avoid excessive moisture, as it can damage certain materials.

    2. Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause fading and damage to the materials. Consider using curtains or blinds to protect your furniture from harsh UV rays.

    3. Use Appropriate Cleaning Products: For your specific materials, use recommended cleaning products that are suitable for the type of fabric. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for cleaning and maintenance.

    4. Handle With Care: When moving your furniture, lift it rather than dragging it to prevent scratches and damage to the legs or surfaces. Use padding or protective covers when shifting furniture to avoid any potential harm.

    5. Address Spills Immediately: In case of spills, gently blot the area with a clean cloth to absorb the liquid. Avoid rubbing, as it can spread the stain. For stubborn stains, consult the manufacturer's guidelines or seek professional cleaning services.

    6. Maintain Proper Humidity Levels: Ensure that the room where your furniture is placed has appropriate humidity levels to prevent warping or cracking, especially for wooden furniture.

    7. Rotate Cushions and Pillows: Rotate and fluff cushions and pillows regularly to maintain their shape and even out wear and tear.

By following these simple care instructions, you can preserve the beauty and quality of your WA Made Furniture for many years to come.
